Can we convert an existing sign to digital?
  • Robson signs are made to last a very long time due to their fully powder-coated aluminum frame. 
  • Therefore, converting an existing non-digital sign to one that supports an LED Electronic Message Center display can be done in some circumstances. 
  • Factors including:
    • local permitting regulations
    • existing sign structural integrity
    • power specifications
    • desired display size

  • That way, our team can reach out to you and schedule the best time for training or a quick refresher on sign programming when you will be at the site with access to the sign and programming computer.
  • The wifi connection used to program a sign from within a nearby facility can reach up to ½ mile – if the line of sight is clear from other walls, buildings, terrain, or vegetation.
  • To maximize reach distance, it is critical to ensure the programming location within the building has a direct line of sight to the sign itself. 
  • If the sign needs to be programmed from a remote location off-site, we do offer a cellular solution that would allow the sign to be connected to and programmed, at an additional cost.
  • In most cases for churches, schools, government organizations, the cellular option is not needed as the sign is programmed and updated during an organization’s normal working hours while staff is on-site.
  • Yes – Installation can either be completed by our team, through contracted partners, or self-installation materials and instructions can be provided.
  • Our standard signs have been engineered over the last few decades for ease of self-installation as a way for organizations to save thousands of dollars, and is our recommended method of installation.
  • Self-installation kits are made by hand for our signs and designed with your team – who may not be professional sign installers – in mind.

  • If you contact our office and provide your location, we can help direct you to Robson signs in your area.
  • We do not sell replacement fluorescent bulbs for older Robson sign models due to difficulty with reliable sourcing and cost competitiveness.
  • To update and replace burned out bulbs in signs that have a traditional bulbs and ballast system, we over an LED sign light conversion kit with instructions for  easy & cost-effective self install
  • These LED sign lights have a manufacturer’s warranty for 10 years and are used as the standard illumination system for all new Robson signs that are made.
  • As a standard package, a new digital sign comes with an antenna connection system, which would require the sign the be programmed inside a facility that is within line-of-sight.
  • We do offer an upgraded connection package that would provide a cellular option, allowing the sign to be programmed from anywhere remotely.
  • Yes – content can be scheduled to change at specific times.
